The development valued the creation of a robust and shock-proof system. Nitrogen oxides are registered as total emissions as well as separately as NO and as NO2. Particles are measured according to number and mean size. Real time evaluation of exhaust emissions may be registered in terms of concentration and time-based or distance-based mass emissions.
Another focus of development was the real-time connection to geographical information platforms along with intuitive presentation. The measurement system combines 15 years of development, testing and refining. The current version OBM 5.0 is the most accurate, easy to use and universally applicable version of the ‚mobile emission lab‘ yet.
